We had reservations, but on arrival was told by the rude receptionist that they were full. The campground manager took me for a ride to see if there was a site for us, complaining that they did not take reservations because he couldn't keep up with it. We found a spot (very closely spaced sites with no patio or picnic table) and I paid for only one night. Had to insist on my Good Sam discount, and the discount was refunded by the rude receptionist. We could have parked free in the Cabela's parking lot next door!
A new park with level long concrete pads, all are pull-through, wide spaced with grass and concrete patio with picnic bench. Sparkling clean bath house and laundry, free WiFi and cable. The only thing to make this better would be for paved streets. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Recognize that ratings here are totally subjective, but after nearly losing my toad in the entrance pot-hole, we found this place to be one big graveled parking lot with hook-ups. RVs are stacked elbow-to-elbow, vehicle traffic through the place raises dust-this is in my opinion, definitely not a resort, nor does it live up to the ratings listed here. We were assigned a site when the reservations were made, but that site was occupied when we arrived. The brochure states the resort is "Located on over 10 wonderful acres at the southern edge of the spectacular Rocky Mountains, our pristine surroundings and beautiful campsites are unsurpassed." Maybe I am at the wrong park?
This campground offers 192 sites, most are pull-thrus, wide, long, level sites with cable, free WiFi free laundry and allows you to wash your vehicle. It has a swimming pool, adults only spa, rally room and a restaurant. No trees (it is, after all, the Texas panhandle) and no picnic tables, but it is a tremendous value! Great attitude of hosts.
Though advertised, WiFi available only in the vicinity of the office. Campers drained gray water on the ground. Site design required one to drive on grass (mud) when entering/departing site. Would not stay again.
186 campsites - 96 with electric only. A water spigot upon arrival, and a dump station. Two modern shower buildings. A great state park, 10 miles west of Burlington, Iowa.
On Lake Red Rock. Electric-only sites with dump station. Great shaded sites, grassy areas, with level parking. Golden Age card accepted. A great "Volksweg Trail" - an asphalt pathway that winds for ten miles through mature timbered areas, restored prairies and open areas offering fantastic views around Lake Red Rock
